FAQ

• When should we arrive?
  • The ceremony will commence at 2pm.
  • Please arrive from 1pm, giving yourself enough time to park, put your BYOB drinks in the fridge (see 'drink' below) and enjoy a welcome drink before the ceremony begins.
• Parking
  • A local farmer has kindly given us use of their field next door to the venue for parking.
  • However parking is still fairly limited, so it would be helpful for guests to share lifts if possible to minimise the number of cars on site.
• Where should we sit during the ceremony?
  • Please sit wherever you like during the ceremony - no need to pick a side!
  • We will leave a few rows at the front reserved for the bridesmaids, groomsmen and immediate family.
• Food
  • We will be having a vegetarian Indian meal in the early evening. We suggest that you eat a light lunch before arriving to the venue.
  • Our amazing venue belongs to the International Hermeneutics Society who are strictly vegetarian. If you plan on bringing your own food for children or for any other reason, we kindly request that you don't bring any meat.
  • If you choose to camp at the venue in your own tent or one of the bell tents, we will be cooking up a vegetarian breakfast for everyone in the morning.
• Drink
  • Welcome drinks, wine for the table, champagne for toasts and a limited amount of beer and non-alcoholic options will be provided.
  • Otherwise, it's a BYOB wedding! Please bring a bottle or two of your favourite tipple to enjoy when the table wine runs out! These can be placed in fridges on site before the ceremony.
  • There is no bar, so don't forget your BYOB!
• Gifts
  • Your presence is gift enough but if you wish to contribute to our honeymoon in Japan, we would be so grateful.
  • We will also have a postbox at the venue for cards.

• Can I bring a +1?
  • I'm afraid it'll just be the people named on the invite that are invited.
• Are my children welcome to join?
  • Your children are welcome, but please let us know if they will be joining us via the RSVP form.
  • We will not be providing any alternative children's food options, so if you don't think they'll enjoy a vegetarian Indian meal, please feel free to bring your own food for them. Please respect the values of the venue and make sure any food you bring for them is vegetarian.
• Can I take photographs?
  • If you want to take a quick snap or two during the ceremony (particularly if you have a decent camera!), you're welcome to. However, please don't film the ceremony or spend the whole time with your phone in your hand! We want to see your lovely faces rather than a sea of iphones!
• I am an evening guest. When should I arrive?
  • Please arrive from 8pm. You are more than welcome to book a bell tent or camp and join us for breakfast in the morning too.
